Southwest Washington Special Education Conference and Resource Fair
The Southwest Washington Special Education Conference and Resource Fair will be held Saturday, April 27th, 2013 from 9 am to 5 pm at Prairie High School. The conference is designed to provide resources to families of children/young adults with special needs regardless of age (birth - 21) or nature of disability (mild-severe). The conference welcomes parents, grandparents, guardians, children, young adults, and the professionals that serve students/families with disabilities. We encourage all in the Southwest Washington region to attend, including those in the Portland Metro area, Clark County, and ESD 112.
The conference will provide concurrent sessions/workshops, a keynote speaker, an exhibit hall, and door prizes. The first 500 registered attendees will receive a conference bag with resources. Registration for the conference is now open. The conference is FREE.
Registration for specific breakout sessions is not required. Sessions are continuing to be added, and will be open to all guests (up to space capacity) on conference day. Please visit the website for detailed information on sessions. You can download the conference-at-a-glance providing specific session times here.
There will be a Children's Activities Area available from 12 pm to 4 pm during the conference. Attendees are NOT to leave children unsupervised. Please indicate if you may access the activity area with your child(ren). For more information on the types of activities provided, will visit our website: http://spedconference.org
We can accommodate these needs if we receive your registration by April 4, 2014.
